The Music Man
When Harold Hill (Robert Preston), a traveling con man, arrives in River City, he convinces the locals to start a band by purchasing the uniforms and instruments from him. His intention is to flee as soon as he receives the money. Librarian Marian Paroo (Shirley Jones) suspects Harold is a fraud, but holds her tongue since her moody brother, Winthrop (Ronny Howard), is excited about the band. A Dark and Stormy Night at the Buttermilk Hotel
Springtime’s severe thunderstorms and the fear of Oklahoma tornados create enough tension for the four eccentric co-owners of the Buttermilk Hotel, but -- when two smalltime crooks in a stolen hearse, a fickle and flirtatious young woman claiming that she has inherited the hotel, a mob hit-man looking for the thieves that stole his stashed cash, another attractive young woman pretending to be something other than what she really is, and a deputy sheriff displaying greater interest in consuming biscuits than in busting crime, all gather at the historic old lodging place on a dark and stormy night.
